Ordering a Bass

Firstly, Thank You! for considering me as the builder of a possible new bass for you, it is greatly appreciated! I understand that there are many other excellent builders out there to choose from, and that thinking about having a bass custom made can involve more than quite a few things to consider and decisions to be made. What style? What woods for body, neck and fingerboard? Fretted or fretless? Active electronics or passive? Should it have a deep, dark sound, a smooth mellow sound, punchy midrange with plenty of bite? Dark woods or light wood? The list goes on and on..... how do you decide?

That is what I'm here for. Even if you're not in the market for a new custom bass right now or even this year, I will answer any questions you might have to the best of my ability and experience, and if there is something I'm not absolutely sure about, I'll find the answer for you. So don't hesitate to contact me with any questions you might have. I love to talk bass and bass gear, heck... that's one of the reasons I what I do!

So, if you have any questions, would like to discuss a custom bass and receive an estimate, or would like more info about my Custom Basses or repairs or modifications of a guitar or bass, please contact me, I'd be more than happy to talk with you.

Payment Options

For all GW Basses, a $500 materials deposit is required. I gladly accept personal checks, certified checks, or money orders. If you prefer to pay me with a credit card I can only accept payment from a credit card via my validated PayPal account. Paypal will also allow you to pay me directly from your current bank account.

I do not offer any type of financing. However, with any of the above payment types, after the initial $500 deposit is received you can continue to send me partial payments while I work on your instrument. Or, if you prefer, you can wait until I have completed your instrument and send me the total balance at that time.

Once a bass is completed it will not be shipped unless paid for in full including shipping and insurance fees. If any bass is not paid for in full within 90 days of being completed, it will be listed for sale and a refund of the monies recieved by GW Basses for the bass minus the $250 cancellation fee will be issued once the bass is sold to another customer.

Refunds?

The initial $500 materials deposit is partially refundable minus a $250 cancellation fee, however once I have started building your bass a refund of the deposit minus the cancellation fee will be issued either after your bass has been completed and sold to another buyer, or if another customer sends me a deposit for the bass before it is completed. If I have to discount the price of the bass to sell it, the partial refund of the $500 deposit or any other monies received toward the bass by GW Basses are forfeit.
